    This 1984 book was written by Dr Stanton Samenw, a renowned clinical psychologist who had many years of experience working with a variety of criminals, not only in exploring their mind set, but what makes them different from ordinary citizens. The novel also exposes the common myths about crime and how to rehabilitate the offenders in a proper way.

    It is impossible not to talk about mystery novels without the name of Agatha Christie cropping up. The story involves bringing ten selected people to an empty mansion and making them face the consequences of their troubled past, by killing them one by one.

    Lauded as the most important book of the 20th century, the Postman Always Rings Twice is a racy book, full of surprises, which will hardly give you time to catch your breath. The story involves one Frank Chambers who ends up  working for Clara Papadkis, and eventually falls for her. The sinister plot to break up Clara’s marriage follows, but not without the many  twists and turns that follow.

    In Cold Blood

    This 1959 Truman Capote bestseller is about the four members of the Clutter family who were mercilessly shot dead in their home.The novel is a true crime classic as it weaves together the incidents of the investigators and their relentless search for the killers. Even today, In Cold Blood is a staple to be found on the bookshelf of every crime enthusiast.

    The Silence of the Lambs

    This Thomas Harris murder mystery revolves around the in apt named charector known as Buffalo Bill, who stalks women for a purpose no one could fathom. The Silence of the Lambs is a masterly written book and a suspense classic which can not be forgotten easily.

    The Bone Collector

    Jeffery Deaver’s mystery book revolves around a brilliant criminologist, Lincoln Rhyme, who is an expert in forensics. When an unfortunate accident leaves Lincoln shattered emotionally, a diabolical killer enters the scene to challenge Rhyme in a duel of wits.The fight carries on till Rhyme and police detective Amelia Sachs try to track down this madman who doesn’t want to stop till life is stripped down to the bone.
