Witch Share New Single ‘Unimvwesha Shuga’

Witch have shared a new single, ‘Unimvwesha Shuga’, the second preview of their first album in 39 years. It follows Zango‘s lead offering ‘Avalanche of Love’, which features Sampa the Great. Take a listen below.

“In that studio, we felt the freedom to express ourselves in ways that are often restricted in our own culture because of us being women,” the group’s Theresa Ng’ambi said in a statement. “‘Unimvwesha Shuga’ is an expression of love and passion, we (Hanna and I) were gossiping about our fantasies as girls and the things we dreamt to express but wouldn’t normally be able to. To us, singing these words was a liberation to express our crazy fantasies.”

Zango is slated to arrive on June 2 via Desert Daze Sound.
