The Folk Implosion Release New Songs ‘My Little Lamb’ and ‘Bobblehead Doll’

Lou Barlow and John Davis have shared two new songs from Walk Thru Me, their first Folk Implosion album in 25 years. Listen to ‘My Little Lamb’ and ‘Bobblehead Doll’ below.

“That’s my first stab at articulating what it’s like being a dad,” Barlow said of ‘My Little Lamb’ in a statement. “I wanted it to include all of the light shit and all of the dark shit.”

‘Bobblehead Doll’ was originally written 15 years ago by Davis, who also directed the music video, “based on an intimate relationship where someone preferred to be propped up instead of listening to opposing perspectives.” Now, he describes it as “Noam Chomsky’s Manufacturing Consent meets ‘Beautiful World’ by DEVO.”

Walk Thru Me comes out June 28 on Joyful Noise. It was led by the single ‘Moonlit Kind’.
