Wild Pink Announces New Album ‘Dulling the Horns’, Shares New Single

John Ross has announced the next Wild Pink album: Dulling the Horns is set to arrive on October 4 via the band’s new label home Fire Talk. Today’s announcement comes with the release of the new single ‘The Fences of Stonehenge’. Check it out and find the album cover and tracklist below.

The follow-up to 2022’s ILYSM was written after frontman John Ross’ battle with cancer. “You zoom out, and I’m very fortunate,” Ross shared in a press release. “But Dulling the Horns came from the feeling of figuring out how do you deal with things and move forward and just keep creating.”

Speaking about ‘The Fences of Stonehenge’, Ross said: “I was messing around with some classic sounding lyrical tropes because I wanted to pick them apart as a song idea but also because they actually sounded good as lyrics. I think it works because this song is kind of about figuring out what to do when you realize you outgrew a lot of stuff you used to like. This song came together somewhat quickly and I was pretty sure it was gonna be the album opener when I was writing it.”

Earlier this year, Wild Pink surprise-released the Strawberry Eraser EP. Revisit our 2022 interview with Wild Pink.
