Mercury Rev Release New Song ‘A Bird of No Address’

Mercury Rev have dropped a new single, ‘A Bird of No Address’, which is lifted from their forthcoming album Born Horses. It follows the previously released songs ‘Patterns’ and ‘Ancient Love’. Check it out below.

Speaking about the track, the band’s Sean “Grasshopper” Mackowiak said in a statement: “As Rebecca Solnit (poet laureate of hope) writes, ‘The grounds for hope are in the shadows, in the people who are inventing the world while no one looks, who themselves don’t know yet whether they will have any effect.’ For all the birds of no address: Fly on!”

Born Horses, the band’s first new album of original material in nine years, is due September 6 via Bella Union.
