Fiona Apple has shared her take on Neil Young’s 1972 classic ‘Heart of Gold’. It’s taken from the new tribute album Heart of Gold: The Songs of Neil Young Volume I, a two-volume project benefiting Young’s Bridge School. Check it out below.
The new Neil Young Tribute album, out now in its entirety, also features Brandi Carlile, Sharon Van Etten, Steve Earle, Mumford & Sons, and the Lumineers, as well as previously released covers by Eddie Vedder and Courtney Barnett.
Last month, Fiona Apple appeared on the Waterboys’ new album, singing ‘Letter From an Unknown Girlfriend’. Last year, she covered Don Heffington’s ‘Lately’ for another tribute LP.
