A conspiracy-driven sci-fi thriller streaming on Netflix is drawing in viewers from all over the world. Human Vapor has already spent two weeks on the platform’s charts. With 3.4 million views this week, it’s currently a Top 10 show in 28 countries.
The series is a reboot of the legendary 1960 film The Human Vapor. With an intriguing premise, tense atmosphere, and solid performances, it’s the kind of show it’s hard to look away from. Does this mean it may return with a follow-up? Here’s what we know so far.
Human Vapor Season 2 Release Date
At the time of writing, there’s no news about a potential Human Vapor season 2.

What Is Human Vapor About?
Human Vapor kicks off with a murder on live television that sends people into panic. The apparent culprit is a mysterious figure known as the Human Vapor. He is capable of transforming his body into toxic gas, passing through walls, and killing from the inside out.
Detective Kenji Okamoto and reporter Kyoko Kono join forces to investigate. The Human Vapor starts announcing his murders in advance, creating public terror and humiliating the authorities. As the two dig deeper, they uncover a conspiracy tied to a secret government-backed program that experimented on vulnerable people.
By the time the finale rolls around, the show delivers answers. At the same time, however, it hints that the story could easily continue in Human Vapor season 2. The show marks the first collaboration between TOHO and Netflix. We don’t know about you, but we look forward to seeing what comes next.
