Tom Morello has announced his seventh solo album. Everyone Gets Everything They Want is set for release on September 25 via Mom + Pop Music. Today, the Rage Against the Machine guitarist has shared the blistering lead single ‘Date Night’, which “tells the true story of three Dutch teenage girls during World War II who seduced Nazi officers and murdered them in the woods,” according to a press release. The new LP includes the previously released single ‘Adjourn It, which features Morello’s 15-year-old son Roman and System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian. Kneecap and Beartooth also appear on the record, which follows 2021’s The Atlas Underground Flood.
“I make anti-racist songs for anti-racists,” Morello said. “I make anti-fascist songs for anti-fascists. And I make anti-Nazi songs for anti-Nazis. ‘Date Night’ is really a ‘which side are you on?’ song. If any of that offends you, do the math. Oh, and Roman Morello wrote the killer riff in this tune.”
