Cristea Roberts Gallery Launches Limited Edition Silkscreen Prints by Clare Woods

Cristea Roberts Gallery has released two new limited-edition silkscreen prints by British artist Clare Woods, created in response to her current solo exhibition at Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery. Street Gift Blue and Street Gift Pink (2026) mark the first time Woods has focused on the motif of the window in her printmaking, drawing on her interest in the material and symbolic qualities of glass.

Hand-printed in editions of 25, the works use vivid layers of colour contained within the geometric framework of leaded windowpanes. Their imagery responds to Pitzhanger Manor, the former home of architect Sir John Soane, whose interiors make distinctive use of natural light, tinted glass and mirrors. Woods’ tightly cropped compositions offer glimpses of what might be landscapes beyond the glass, turning the familiar window into a boundary between interior and exterior spaces.

The two prints are currently on display at Pitzhanger alongside Woods’ paintings and new hand-painted collages. Released on a first-come, first-served basis, they extend the artist’s exploration of everyday subjects and the point at which recognisable imagery begins to slip towards abstraction.
