Gen Z finally has a hangout sitcom that gets the formula right. Adults, which premiered in 2025 to positive reviews, just dropped its second season. Turns out, the growing pains are mostly gone, and the new batch of episodes scored a perfect 100% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes.

At the time of writing, there’s no official news about a potential Adults season 3. That said, a renewal might be just around the corner.
Critical acclaim aside, the show is getting a fair amount of online buzz, and season 2 leaves plenty of story threads open. We’re cautiously optimistic. If all goes well, new episodes could arrive sometime in mid-2027.

What Is Adults About?
Adults revolves around five twenty-somethings: Samir, Billie, Paul Baker, Issa, and Anton. They all live together in Samir’s childhood home and attempt to figure out how to become functioning adults. Naturally, they possess few of the skills required to do so.
As the show progresses, the friends deal with jobs, money, dating, sex, family, healthcare, social media, friendship, and the many ups and downs life throws their way. Luckily, they have each other to rely on.
The show is funny and timely, so there’s a good chance it will appeal to viewers of all ages. In its second season, the friends go through another series of mishaps, while relationships are put through the wringer. By the time the eight episodes come to a close, a new romance is blossoming, and an unexpected hook-up is sure to affect the group dynamic moving forward.
If it happens, Adults season 3 will likely pick up from there and explore whether these five people can remain best friends as their lives start moving in different directions. In the UK, the show is available to stream on Disney+.
