Foxwarren – the Canadian quintet composed of Andy Shauf, Avery and Darryl Kissick, Dallas Bryson, and Colin Nealis – have announced their sophomore album, simply titled 2. The follow-up to the group’s 2018 self-titled debut will be released on May 30 via ANTI-. It’s led by the hypnotic new song ‘Listen2me’, which arrives with a music video directed and created by filmmaker and artist Winston Hacking. Foxwarren created 2 intheir own home studios across four provinces, with all five members uploading song ideas to a shared folder and holding weekly online meetings. Shauf would then construct songs by feeding these ideas into a sampler, weaving in “a trove of found-sound conversations between two lovers,” a bit of which can be heard on ‘Listen2me’.
