MGMT have delivered another single forthcoming album, Loss of Life, which arrives February 23 via Mom + Pop. Following previous cuts ‘Bubblegum Dog’ and ‘Mother Nature’, ‘Nothing to Declare’ arrives with a music video directed by Joey Frank (who also helmed MGMT’s ‘Me & Michael’) and starring Inga Petry. Check it out below.
Speaking about the concept behind the video, Frank shared: “When I first saw Inga on TikTok, I imagined her as the star of a foreign film. A certain brand of 1990’s European independent cinema typified by the Dardenne brothers always essentially follows a human navigating through life. Inga has been armless all her life, which lends a different kind of vulnerability to the simple narrative of a self possessed young woman traveling from Pittsburgh to Paris. In real life, Inga puts herself online in a very candid way on TikTok, but the ‘Nothing to Declare’ MGMT music video plays on the aesthetics of independent cinema to allow the audience a different sort of emotional fictive space with Inga as ingenue.”
Inga Petry added:
When I was first approached by Joey to do this project, it was the parallelism in his vision that first drew me in. We listened to ‘Nothing To Declare’ as he took me through the concept of the video and I was met with the juxtaposition of beauty and melancholy. Having grown up with no arms, I have been watched my whole life. In some respects, the Venus de Milo has always felt analogous to my life, and specifically to the character I portray in this film. She’s adored, respected, and almost constantly surrounded by people, and yet she stands alone and her past is unknown. There have always been questions surrounding her arms and she has never had to answer or prove her worth. From my perspective, she has nothing to declare. Playing this character that is different, and not just because she doesn’t have arms, but by the way she handles the difference and still feeds on new curiosity was a really beautiful experience.”
As an individual, the song and film resonated to me in another way as well. At the time of the initial filming I had just been diagnosed with Stage III Breast Cancer. This changed my personal perception of the film and pulled me away from seeing it as a way to artistically see how my character exists with differences within her environment, and made it an experience of the individual. At this point in time, to me, ‘Nothing To Declare’ no longer meant that you don’t have to explain your circumstances, but instead it felt like a literal statement going through the customs of life. After this diagnosis, I couldn’t exist as the same person I was. I had to put a lot of my personal goals aside to focus on my health and recovery. In that respect, I had to end one chapter of my life and enter a new one. A chapter that doesn’t care about who I was before or what aspirations I was striving toward. Instead, one that focuses on removing all the cancer and only then will I be able to start living again. My wish is for people to watch the video and enjoy the art and mystery. I hope the vulnerability and curiosity that we captured is felt by the viewer.
Lynks has announced their debut album, Abomination, which is slated to arrive on April 12 via Heavenly. It will include the previously unveiled songs ‘Sex With a Stranger’, ‘Use It or Lose It’, and ‘New Boyfriend’, and today they’ve dropped a new single called ‘CPR’. Check it out below.
“There’s this temptation to shrink yourself and make yourself seem all helpless and vulnerable with those guys, so they get to feel like some Big Strong Man protecting you,” Lynks said of the new single in a statement. “CPR felt like the perfect metaphor for that weird dynamic. I first had the idea for CPR while doing a first-aid course at my old job. I was mid-chest compression on my dummy, and suddenly the chorus just came into my head over the rhythm of my hands on the doll. I quickly ran to the toilet to do a voicenote, then got back to saving imaginary lives.”
Gustaf – the Brooklyn post-punk outfit led by Lydia Gammill – have announced a new LP. Package Pt. 2, the follow-up to 2021’s Audio Drag for Ego Slobs, is out April 5 via Royal Mountain Records. The album was produced by Erin Tonkon, who worked on David Bowie’s Blackstar, and recorded at Studio G Brooklyn and Circular Ruin. Ahead of the release of her new album Big Sigh this Friday, Marika Hackman has shared one more single from it called ‘The Yellow Mile’. It follows ‘No Caffeine’, ‘Hanging’, and ‘Slime’. “I wanted to go back to my roots as a songwriter, me and a guitar, crafted, very immediate,” Hackman said of the track, which closes the LP. Check it out via the accompanying video below.
If your goalkeeper is letting you down, or you want to build your ultimate dream team in the latest edition of FIFA 24, now named EA FC 24, you have come to the right place. On this list, we’ll look at the most promising wonderkids in the game that you can sign on career mode or introduce to your ultimate team.
Diogo Meireles Costa (Overall 83 – Potential 89)
Portuguese goalie Diogo Costa began his career playing for Porto B side in 2017, where he made a total of 51 appearances within the 4-year span, which ended entirely in 2021. However, it took a little while for Costa to start making appearances for the primary Porto team in 2019. Today, Costa has over 86 appearances for the Dragões of the Primeira Liga, who finished 2nd in the 22-23 season. Costa has also made a great impression in international football, rising through the youth ranks in 2014 and reaching the senior national team in 2021. Costa made his international debut on the 9th of October, keeping a clean sheet against Qatar, which ended 3-0.
Regarding the game, Costa has an astounding potential of 89, making him a genuinely world-class goalkeeper who could fit into any Champions League targetting side. Costa’s best attributes are his GK reflexes at 86, GK positioning at 82, and GK diving at 82. Moreover, he holds 83 in reactions. Sadly, if you’re looking to buy him, you’ll have trouble; Costa currently has a release clause of €102.3 million, which certainly makes him accessible by the big boys in the top 5 leagues of Europe.
Guillaume Restes (Overall 72 – 87 Potential)
18-year-old Restes of Toulouse in Ligue 1 is no joke. While only being born in 2005 would make him a super young keeper, he already made 17 appearances for the French side, which didn’t do well, placing 13th of 20 in Ligue 1 in the 2022-23 season. Restes isn’t sleeping on international football, either. While competition to represent is tough, Restes has been playing for the France U21 side, where he made five appearances. Luckily for Restes, France isn’t his only option for international football. He may opt to play for the Ivory Coast national team due to his mother’s Ivorian descent, potentially making him a viable option for the Les Éléphants of the CAF.
Game-wise, Restes has a promising future but would need some loan time to play at the highest level as a starting goalkeeper. Luckily, at Toulouse, he is the best goalkeeper with not much competition, so if kept at the club with playing time, his potential is very much possible to reach. Restes has a reasonable release clause of €12.3 million for those looking for a cheap player. His best attributes are in goalkeeping, as expected, with GK diving at 73 and GK reflexes at 76.
Marco Carnesecchi (Overall 79 – Potential 87)
With Donnaruma dominating the goalkeeper’s position for the Italian national team, it doesn’t look hopeful for anyone else to take his spot except for Carnesecchi, who currently plays his club football for the mighty Atalanta side in Seria A. Carnesecchi spent most of his early career on line playing for Trapani and Cremonese, establishing himself as a solid goalie with heaps of potential at a young age of 23. At 6 ft 5 in, Carnesecchi isn’t any push-around and has made over 22 appearances for the Italy U21 side from 2019 to 2023.
In EA FC 24, Carnesecchi certainly spells out as a potentially world-dominating goalie with a massive potential of 87. His best attribute is GK reflexes, which stand at 84, closely followed by GK diving at 80. Sadly, Carnesecchi doesn’t have a game face and a release clause of €63.7 million, making him a steep acquisition for smaller clubs that play in the lower end of the Premier League or Seria A.
Giorgi Mamardashvili (Overall 80 – Potential 86)
Georgian star Giorgi Mamardashvili has delivered results since his debut for Dinamo Tbilisi in 2018. The wonderkid, however, found little luck at the club, being loaned out to Rustavi in 2019 and then Locomotive Tbilisi, where he impressed the Spanish scouts after a match against La Liga’s Granada in the UEFA Europa League. This performance highlighted his move to Valencia in 2021, where he has currently made over 74 appearances and has kept many clean sheets for the La Liga side, which struggled in the 2022-23 season.
As a video game player, the Georgian goalie delivers a well-rounded set of goalkeeping attributes. Most impressively, Mamardashvili has on GK reflexes at 82, narrowly followed by GK positioning and GK diving, which both come at 80. As a potential goalie for your dream team, he does have an in-game real face and playstyles such as far throw and cross claimer — making him suitable for more exciting players of the EA FC franchise. Mamardashvili has a release clause of €63.3 million, making him ideal for mid-table and above teams in the Premier League like Manchester United, Brighton, and potentially Chelsea.
Dennis Seimen
Finishing this list strongly, we have the 17-year-old youngster Dennis Seimen, who currently plays football for Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart. Seimen began his career in 2023 after a solid spell playing for the youth side of Stuttgart from 2015 to 2023. He has yet to make a senior debut for the main Stuttgart side. Still, he has made eight appearances for VfB Stuttgart II, who currently play in the Regionalliga Südwest, the fourth division in German football.
The scouts love Seimen’s potential; while he has yet to make an appearance in the Bundesliga, he has already managed to raise his profile enough to have the potential of an 84-rated goalkeeper within the game. Starting at an overall of 61, he certainly needs playing time at a lower division, most likely a loan if you are hoping he becomes your number-one goalkeeper. That is, of course, if you’re playing a top-tier side. On the other hand, if you’re managing a 3. Liga side or a League One side in England, then you may have a decent shot of making him a decent starting 11 goalkeeper. In terms of attributes, Seimen delivers 63 in GK diving, 61 in GK kicking, and 62 in GK reflexes. His most robust line of attributes lies in Strength, which currently stands at 68. Seimen also has a small and certainly affordable release clause of €2.6 million — making him a steal for any side looking to invest in the future of their squad.
With so many people playing Fortnite even in 2024, it’s easy to get caught up in the hype. But does this really need to cost you money?
Actually, if you want to make the game more enjoyable and effortless, simply purchase a high-quality Fortnite account, and everything will become a breeze.
Fortnite Free vs. Paid
The Battle Royale game is free. Battle Royale pits the player against 99 other players, in a fight to be the last one alive. It includes Creative Mode, where players design islands, and Party Royale, a fun place to hang out. Paid Fortnite is a team game. The aim is to defend forts from monsters (husks).
Read on to find out more about the free and paid Fortnite games and whether or not paying for Fortnite is worth it.
What’s The Difference Between Fortnite Paid and Free?
Ultimately, Battle Royale is free-to-play, and Save the World (an online co-operative adventure) is not. You will have to buy Save the World like any other paid game, even if you already have Fortnite installed.
Free
The free part of Fortnite is the Battle Royale game and all the spin-off modes that come with it. With Fortnite free-to-play, you get:
Battle Royale (including events): Battle Royale puts the player on an island, where they will have to defeat other players (PvP, Player vs Player) to be the last man (or woman) standing
Creative Mode: players can build forts and design islands, and then host games for their friends
Party Royale: a fun-filled island created for players to hang out with their friends, racing boats, dancing, and much more.
Tournaments: a competitive version of the Battle Royale game. Players rack up points for staying alive until the Top 50, 25, 10 and 5, or for winning a match. Participants move through tiers, until they gain access to live, professional tournament matches. Sometimes there are real cash prizes.
World Cup participation: much like Tournaments, the World Cup allows players to compete against the best Fortnite players in the world. The beginning of the World Cup is a similar points scheme as regular Tournaments.
Spectating: players can watch matches their friends are playing from within their Fortnite accounts. Handy if you’re taking it in turns to play in a duo or squad, and don’t want to miss out.
None of the cosmetics, such as skins (the avatar or characters you play as, although there is a basic male and female skin) and gliders (parachutes to help you float down from the plane; although a basic glider is provided), are available for free, but there are occasional special events where you can gain items through completing challenges. However, many of these are for Battle Pass holders only. The Battle Pass will cost you $7.99.
Paid
The paid version of Fortnite is Save the World, a PvE (Player versus Engine; you play against the computer) online-co-op defense game. It’s still fort-related, and you get to team up with your friends to, literally, save the world.
Save the World costs $39.99 for the standard edition and up to $59.99 for the deluxe edition.
Fortnite also offers V-Bucks, a cash shop currency used to buy the Battle Pass and cosmetic items. Any Battle Royale cosmetics can be used in Save the World, except for certain types like gliders.
You can also buy the big bang battle pass which currently costs 950 v bucks.

Save the World is regularly updated with new items and special events. Once you’ve bought the game, you no longer need to spend a cent.
Can You Play Fortnite Without Buying Anything?
Battle Royale is completely free, and you don’t need to buy anything to play it. You will have the exact same chances to compete (and potentially win), as everyone else, without spending a cent.

Is Fortnite Actually free?
Battle Royale is completely, 100% free, and this includes creative mode and Party Royale.

How Much is The Paid Version of Fortnite?
Save the World is priced at $39.99 and the Battle Pass for Battle Royale will cost you $7.99.
Is Fortnite Free on PS5 consoles?

You can also use xbox cloud gaming to play Fortnite which is supports in game purchases and the big bang battle.
You can also purchase Xbox Game Passes for PC.

Fortnite: Battle Royale is free on Nintendo Switch, but you can still purchase V-Bucks and items. The Battle Pass costs $7.99 or 950 V-Bucks.
To play online multiplayer games on Switch, you will need to add friends to your Switch account, which is free to do. However, if you prefer to use Fortnite’s online matchmaking, you’ll need a Nintendo Switch membership.
A Nintendo Switch Membership costs $3.99 per month, $7.99 for three months, and $19.99 for a year. You can also purchase family memberships for $34.99 per year. Family membership covers up to eight Nintendo Switch accounts.
Fortnite: Save the World is unavailable for Switch.
Is Fortnite Free on Mobile Devices?
Battle Royale is free for mobiles and tablets, but Save the World is unavailable. You can still purchase the Battle Pass ($7.99) and other cosmetic items for V-Bucks. We also want to remind you that Fortnite is one of the most hacked games, so you should not forget about cybersecurity. To avoid data leakage and protect yourself from DDoS attacks it’s better to install a VPN on your device.
How do I get free v bucks?
As of January, 2024 there is no ways of getting a coupon code or free v bucks to make Fortnite cheaper.
Final Thoughts
One difference between Fortnite free and Fortnite paid is whether you want cosmetics and the Battle Pass or not. However, the central part of paid Fortnite is the co-op adventure game, Save the World. If you’d like to check out Save the World, it’ll cost you well over $20, even on sale.
If you’re not interested in playing Save the World, then Fortnite is entirely free-to-play. Nevertheless, depending on which device you’re playing on, you may need to pay for online multiplayer services.
Big fans of Fortnite will probably find that paying for the Battle Pass ($7.99) is worth it, but occasional players should probably keep hold of their cash.
Save the World is a good game, but it can get repetitive, and you’ll need friends or online matches to get through the more challenging levels. This one’s better bought on sale. Perhaps if you find yourself with some extra money after claiming a casino sign up bonus, you can treat yourself to Fortnite paid.
Fortnite provides players with a thrilling and fun gaming experience. For those who love this game and want to extend this love to real life, customizing related peripheral products is undoubtedly a good choice.
Among them, custom embroidered patches, as a personalized decoration, can not only show the player’s love for the game but also add a unique color to other items. Players can design their favorite game characters, iconic symbols, battle scenes, and other patterns on the patches.
In this way, players can create unique peripheral products and add a touch of gaming elements to their daily lives.
