Omni’s Philip Frobos Announces New Solo Album, Shares New Single

Philip Frobos – the vocalist and bassist of Atlanta band Omni – has announced his second solo album. Taste for the Unsavory, the follow-up to 2021’s Vague Enough to Satisfy, is due January 29 via Danger Collective Records and Upset the Rhythm. It’s led by the wry, propulsive single ‘The Handoff’, which features guest vocals from Gustaf’s Lydia Gammill. Check it out and find the album cover below.

“I imagined this track as if a pulp noir tale were told in a Madchester meets Athens, GA style,” Frobos said of the new track.” “I enjoyed imagining anonymity in Rome, Buenos Aires, and Mexico City. What kind of occupation could the two singers hold?”

Taste for the Unsavory also features Mastadon’s Bill Kelliher and Preoccupations’ Matthew Flegel. Frobos’ Omni bandmate Frankie Broyles handled the artwork from his fellow Omni bandmate Frankie Broyles.
