twst Announces New EP, Shares New Single ‘Little Deaths’

London-based artist twst had announced her third EP, Made in Transit, which will drop on February 17 via underplay recordings. It will follow TWST0001, which topped our EPs list in 2020, and 2023’s TWST0002. To mark today’s announcement, twst has shared  ‘Little Deaths’, a slow jam inspired by Prince and Britney’s ‘Everytime’. Check out the video for it below.

“‘Little Deaths’ takes its name from the French expression la petite mort, meaning a brief loss of consciousness,” Chloe Davis explained in a statement. “I wrote it in a state of extreme heartbreak, using vices to escape the pain while chasing the pleasure and intimacy I’d lost. It’s about the contradiction of trying to forget someone by repeating the very things that remind you of them, searching for those brief moments of relief before the reality of their absence returns.”

“My previous two EPs were quite fantasy-based- looking at the world around me, but not necessarily positioning myself in it,” they added of Made in Transit. “With this EP, it feels more like Chloe as a person integrated with twst. It feels more in the real world – if previously twst was a form of protection, this is probably my most raw work.”
