Strange Ranger have shared ‘Wide Awake’, a new offering from their upcoming LP Pure Music ahead of its release on Friday, July 21 via Fire Talk. Following previous singles ‘Rain So Hard’, ‘She’s on Fire’, and ‘Way Out’, the track arrives with an accompanying video directed by Lola Dement Myers and shot by Ben Turok. Watch and listen below.
“I was thinking about these flashes of memory that stick in your head forever,” the band’s Isaac Eiger said of ‘Wide Awake’ in a statement. “Bursts of senses that return every now and again but don’t lead anywhere beyond themselves like a GIF in your brain. It’s weird to think about what stays with you and if that’s at all related to how important the thing in question was.”
