Ride or Die Season 2: Cast, Rumours & Release Date

Some friendships are bulletproof. At least, that’s what new Prime Video series Ride or Die hints at. When two friends are forced to go on the run together, their bond faces the ultimate test. Soon, chaos ensues.

Starring Hannah Waddingham and Octavia Spencer, Ride or Die quickly climbed the platform’s charts to become the #1 series worldwide. Does that mean a follow-up is happening? Here’s what we know so far.

Ride or Die Season 2 Release Date

At the time of writing, Prime Video hasn’t made any announcements about a potential Ride or Die season 2.

That said, it’s early days, so an update could arrive any moment. Viewership numbers seem strong, and reviews are positive. Plus, the showrunner is already thinking about what lies ahead.

“We’d have new bad guys, new villains, new danger, and new countries that Debbie and Judith are visiting, because part of the show is this wanderlust. And without giving away too many spoilers, there’d be a wedding,” Matt Miller said when asked about season 2.

If all goes well, new episodes could arrive in 2027.

What Is Ride or Die About?

Ride or Die is an action comedy about Debbie and Judith, best friends who have spent decades believing they know everything about each other. Turns out, their friendship is built on a massive secret. Judith is actually a highly trained international assassin who has kept her real profession under wraps.

Their carefully maintained lives fall apart when a mysterious figure from Judith’s past resurfaces, and a hit goes wrong. With enemies closing in, the two friends are forced to flee. Their escape becomes a dangerous road trip across Europe, and the women must work together in order to survive.

The show is funny and charming, bolstered by a duo you have no problem rooting for. By the time the finale rolls around, the friends seem to be in a good place, but a cliffhanger hints that the story is far from over. We hope Ride or Die season 2 becomes reality, because we can’t wait to find out what happened next.
