Baths Announces New Album ‘Gut,’ Shares Video for New Single

Will Wiesenfeld has announced his first Baths studio album in seven years. The Romaplasm follow-up is called Gut, and it’s set to land on February 21 via Basement’s Basement. Today’s announcement comes with the release of the new song ‘Sea of Men’, alongside a video directed by Wiesenfeld. Check it out below and scroll down for the album art and tracklist.

Gut is essentially me trying to make my feelings make sense by not initially psychoanalyzing them – by instead just having feelings said and put on the table,” Wiesenfeld said in a statement, continuing: “I think about men, and sex, quite literally all the time. To make a new album that felt like an actual honest effort meant exploring this fact further than I’ve ever been comfortable with, with no regard to personal embarrassment or relatability.”

“I’m sketching my strongest and most pervasive feelings out quickly and treating their roughness as gospel, then exploring them in greater detail with the added sheen of time and perspective,” he added. “I ended up not just writing about sex but also about personal shortcomings, dreamless living, harmful fantasies, and dissonant self-identities…things I also think about all the time.”

Emile Mosseri and Julianna Barwick Share New Holiday Songs ‘Snowpool’ and ‘Home Alone’

0

New York musician Emile Mosseri has teamed up with Julianna Barwick for two new holiday tracks, ‘Snowpool’ and ‘Home Alone’. Take a listen below.

In a statement, Mosseri explained:

I met Julianna a few years back through our friend Mary Lattimore. We got together and started hanging and jamming and recording music. We’ve done a few improvisational shows at Zebulon together here in LA and jammed a bunch at my studio. “Snowpool” was this beautiful melody that Julianna started singing that I was drawn to, and I wrote chords underneath it and arranging it for a choir. We performed it two years ago with a 32-piece choir at a holiday show here in LA. We recently re-recorded it and wanted to release it for the holidays. It’s named after the translation of Julianna’s friend Jónsi’s niece’s name Snjolaug (Icelandic for snowpool). Julianna said that the song reminded her of snow falling in a pool at night. The name and the song both feel very festive, and we wanted to create something in the tradition of more melancholic christmas music, i.e Vince Guaraldi, Lennon’s “Happy Christmas,” and some of those classic heartbreaking hymnals.

Mosseri’s next LP, Trying to Be Born, is set to arrive on February 21. Barwick’s most recent album, Healing Is a Miracle, came out in 2020.

“This is the last chapter of the final volume,” McMahon explained in a press release. “Goodbye, I’ve barely said a word to you, but it’s always like that at parties — we never really see each other, we never say the things we should like to; in fact it’s the same everywhere in this life. Let’s hope that when we are dead things will be better arranged.”

McMahon founded Amen Dunes in 2006, releasing an album of 8-track recordings called D.I.A.. He later signed to Sacred Bones and put out a series of cult favourites for the label, beginning with 2011’s Through Donkey Jaw, which was followed by 2014’s Love (featuring members of Godspeed You! What Do Architects Actually Do? A Peek Behind the Curtain

When people think of architects, the first thing that might come to mind is grand, sweeping designs or those iconic blueprints spread across a desk. While those are part of the job, the role of an architect is much broader—and arguably much cooler—than just sketching out buildings.

Let’s explore what architects actually do, from the creative spark to the nitty-gritty details that bring their visions to life.

1. Architects Are Visionaries and Problem Solvers

An architect’s job starts with a vision—but it’s not just their own. They collaborate closely with clients to understand what they need, whether it’s a sleek city apartment or a school designed for curious minds. Architects then turn that wish list into a cohesive concept, balancing functionality with creativity.

And here’s where the magic happens: every building presents a unique puzzle. Architects solve challenges like how to maximize natural light on a narrow city lot, make an old structure feel modern, or incorporate green technology into a tight budget.

2. The Role of Drawings

Architectural drawings are a big deal—and for good reason. These aren’t just pretty sketches; they’re essential blueprints that bring an idea into focus. Drawings map out everything from the overall look of the building to the precise placement of walls, windows, and even electrical outlets.

But while the drawings are significant, they’re not the whole story. They’re more like a playbook, guiding engineers, contractors, and construction teams as they turn designs into reality. Architects use these tools to communicate their vision clearly, ensuring that every nail and beam fits the bigger picture.

3. The Logistics Whisperers

Once the design is set, architects dive into the details. This means juggling materials, layouts, and structural systems while keeping an eye on things like building codes and zoning laws. (Yes, architects have to know a lot about legal stuff too!)

Even during construction, architects often stick around to make sure the project stays true to the design. When unexpected issues arise—like discovering a hidden pipe where a wall is supposed to go—they’re the ones who figure out how to adjust without compromising the vision.

4. Storytellers of Space

Great architecture isn’t just functional; it tells a story. Architects weave together elements like history, culture, and the surrounding environment to create buildings that feel connected to their place and purpose.

Whether it’s a minimalist home that blends into a forest or a vibrant museum designed to inspire, architects shape how we experience the spaces we live and work in.

5. Innovators of the Everyday

Architects are constantly experimenting with new ideas, materials, and technologies. They’re the ones behind buildings that are energy-efficient, adaptable, or simply awe-inspiring. From designing earthquake-resistant structures to figuring out how to make a tiny house feel spacious, architects are always pushing boundaries.

More Than Meets the Eye

At the end of the day, architects are more than designers—they’re creators, problem-solvers, and collaborators. Their work shapes the world around us, blending creativity with practicality to make spaces that are as functional as they are inspiring.

How Aviator is creating a new online gambling culture

A virtual plane is soaring across screens worldwide, captivating over 10 million monthly players across 2,000+ gaming brands. This phenomenon, known as Aviator game, stands at the forefront of a new shift in online gambling culture.

Unlike traditional casino games where players face solitary battles against algorithms, crash games introduce a fresh dynamic. Your mission revolves around a multiplier that climbs higher as a digital aircraft ascends – cash out before it vanishes and multiply your stake, wait too long and watch your investment disappear into thin air.

Yet, Aviator’s meteoric rise transcends mere gameplay mechanics. Through innovative social features, this seemingly simple concept has transformed into a vibrant community experience. Live chat buzzes with strategy discussions, players celebrate wins together and real-time leaderboards spark friendly competition.

What truly sets this game apart lies in its ability to merge calculated risk-taking with social interaction. While traditional slots offer isolated experiences, Aviator creates shared moments of anticipation as thousands of players simultaneously watch that tiny plane climb higher, each deciding when to secure their profits. This combination of strategic timing and community engagement has revolutionized how we approach online gambling entertainment.

The numbers behind the success

Young British gamblers have embraced online betting with remarkable enthusiasm – 32.6% of UK players aged 18-24 now regularly engage in digital gambling activities. This demographic shift signals a broader transformation in how new generations approach entertainment and risk.

Consider these staggering numbers: every minute, Aviator processes 165,000 bets while managing over 10,000 simultaneous wagers. Such volume demonstrates unprecedented player engagement across multiple platforms and regions.

The commercial success speaks volumes about market reception. Operators implementing Aviator witness a minimum 10% boost in gross gaming revenue, transforming this game from a novel concept into a profit-driving powerhouse. Through strategic expansion into 20+ regulated markets, Aviator has established itself as more than just another casino offering.

What makes these numbers particularly fascinating lies in their broader implications for gaming culture. Your typical casino game might attract steady traffic, but Aviator’s metrics reveal a different phenomenon altogether. Picture thousands of players simultaneously watching that tiny plane climb higher, each making split-second decisions about when to cash out. This shared experience creates a unique form of entertainment that transcends traditional gambling boundaries.

The rapid adoption across regulated markets suggests we’re witnessing more than a temporary trend. Rather, these numbers point toward a fundamental shift in how younger generations engage with online gambling – preferring social, interactive experiences over solitary gaming sessions.

Birds of a feather

Across Asia alone, Aviator thrives in more than 4,500 online casinos, demonstrating remarkable community penetration. Yet numbers tell only part of this fascinating story about digital connection.

Consider the Rain Promo feature, which transforms typical gameplay into shared moments of excitement. Players watch eagerly as free bets shower through live chat, creating a virtual rush as everyone scrambles to claim rewards. This clever mechanic turns solitary gaming sessions into community events, with players celebrating each other’s swift reflexes and good fortune.

Live chat buzzes with strategy discussions and victory celebrations, while real-time leaderboards spark friendly competition among participants. Your achievements become visible to fellow players, fostering a sense of recognition within this digital ecosystem. Group betting options further strengthen these bonds by allowing friends to experience the thrill of strategic timing together.

Beyond the game itself, community engagement spills onto social platforms. Players share spectacular wins on Instagram, discuss strategies on Facebook and stream live sessions on Twitch. This multi-platform approach creates an interconnected web of aviator enthusiasts who share experiences across digital spaces.

What makes this social framework particularly compelling lies in its organic development. Rather than forcing interaction, these features naturally encourage community building through shared experiences. Whether you’re a seasoned player or newcomer, you’ll find yourself part of an engaging ecosystem where every flight becomes a shared adventure.

The next generation

As we mentioned, the 97% Return to Player rate truly sets Aviator apart in the digital gaming landscape. This generous ratio reflects a broader philosophy focused on sustained engagement rather than quick profits – a strategy that particularly resonates with younger players.

Mobile-first design thinking shapes every aspect of your gaming experience. Quick taps replace complex button combinations while streamlined interfaces ensure smooth gameplay on any device. This approach acknowledges our increasingly mobile-centric world where entertainment must adapt to busy lifestyles.

Generation Z and millennials demand more than just flashy graphics or big payouts. These tech-savvy players seek fast-paced action coupled with meaningful social connections. Aviator delivers through rapid betting rounds that maintain excitement while fostering community through multiplayer features.

Cryptocurrency integration adds another layer of appeal for digital natives. By embracing blockchain technology, Aviator bridges traditional gaming with emerging financial trends. Players can seamlessly switch between conventional currency and crypto tokens, reflecting modern preferences for financial flexibility.

What truly distinguishes this gaming evolution lies in its holistic approach to entertainment. Rather than focusing solely on gambling mechanics, Aviator creates an ecosystem where social interaction, strategic thinking and financial innovation converge. Your gaming sessions transform into shared experiences, discussions flow across platforms and victories become social currency within a vibrant community.

This multifaceted approach signals a pivotal shift in online gaming culture – one where entertainment value extends far beyond individual wins or losses.

In this way, the future of online gambling clearly points toward more socially integrated experiences. As Aviator demonstrates, players seek more than solitary entertainment – they crave shared moments, community recognition and interactive gameplay.

Traditional casino games must adapt in the same fashion or risk losing relevance among younger generations. Static slot machines and isolated table games might struggle against dynamic social platforms that offer both entertainment and community engagement.

Watch this space carefully. The intersection of social gaming and gambling continues evolving rapidly, promising innovative features we haven’t yet imagined. One thing remains certain: the future belongs to platforms that successfully merge strategic gameplay with meaningful social connections.
