The Weeknd has unveiled a new music video for his After Hours track ‘Save Your Tears’. Watch the Cliqua-directed visual below.
The new clip appears to be a continuation of the storyline that’s been running throughout the R&B crooner’s After Hours videos, beginning with ‘Heartless’, where he could be seen tripping and partying in Las Vegas. He got bloodied-up in the ‘Blinding Lights’ video, and in ‘In Your Eyes’, we saw his head decapitated. But in ‘Too Late’, he’s reanimated after his head gets attached to another person’s body. Now, he seems to have undergone another physical transformation, as the ‘Save Your Tears’ reveals the results of some plastic surgery.
When the Grammy nominations were announced last November, the Weeknd was notably absent from the list, despite the fact that both his smash hit ‘Blinding Lights’ and After Hours were eligible for nomination. In response, the singer accused the Recording Academy of being “corrupt” and said he was offered the opportunity to perform at the ceremony.
