Amanda Shires Enlists Cyndi Lauper, Jason Isbell, Angie Stone, Peaches, and More on New Song

    Last September, Amanda Shares and her husband Jason Isbell released a track called ‘The Problem’, which depicted a couple having an honest conversation about abortion and was timed to coincide with International Safe Abortion Day. Yesterday, on the 48th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Shires shared a new, star-studded version of ‘The Problem’ called ‘Our Problem’, featuring contributions from Cyndi Lauper, Linda Perry, Angie Stone, Peaches, K. Flay, Valerie June, K. Flay, Lilly Hiatt, Morgane Stapleton, Nona Hendryx, and more. Jason Isbell contributed guitar on the song, while Sheryl Crow played bass. Listen to it below.

    Last December, Shires shared a cover of Genesis’ ‘That’s All’ to mark the end of the year. The Highwomen member is set to perform the original version of ‘The Problem’ with Isbell on today’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (January 22).
