St. Vincent Teases New Album ‘Daddy’s Home’

St. Vincent has teased her new album with an 70s-themed advertising campaign. According to the street posters that have been cropping up across social media platforms, the LP is called Daddy’s Home and it arrives on May 14 via Loma Vista.

The poster features Annie Clark standing in a maroon suit next to is presumably the album cover. “Warm Wurlitzers and wit, glistening guitars and grit, with sleaze and style for days. Taking you from uptown to downtown with the artist who makes you expect the unexpected,” it reads.

As Stereogum points out, a larger version of the poster has also been spotted, claiming that a Jack Antonoff-produced single called ‘Pay Your Way In Pain’ will drop on March 5.

Annie Clark has not confirmed any of the album details, simply tweeting, “Nothing to see here.”

The musician previously said that new music was “locked and loaded for 2021,” telling Mojo that her new album marks “a tectonic shift” in her sound. “I felt I had gone as far as I could possibly go with angularity. I was interested in going back to the music I’ve listened to more than any other – Stevie Wonder records from the early ’70s, Sly And The Family Stone. I studied at the feet of those masters,” she said.
