Louien Announces New EP ‘No Tomorrow’, Unveils First Single ‘Better Woman’

Louien, the moniker of Norwegian indie-folk artist Live Miranda Solberg, has announced a new EP called No Tomorrow. It’s out June 4 via Jansen Records and it includes the newly unveiled single, ‘Better Woman’. Give it a listen below.

“Better Woman is about an argument between a woman and her partner, someone she’s in love with, but she doesn’t know how to get through to,” Solberg explains in a statement. “So, she blames it on her lack as a woman; that she isn’t good enough, warm enough, funny enough. She wishes she didn’t have so many feelings. Maybe she even wishes she was a man.”

Solberg is one of the main singer-songwriters in the Oslo-based four-piece Silver Lining. She released her debut solo album as Louien, None of My Words, in 2019. “I wanted to play around a bit more, not take myself or the songs too seriously as the debut was very heavy and took years to write,” she adds of the new EP. “I mean, writing a thoroughly happy song might still be out of my reach, but I’m trying to get more than one perspective in there.”
