Following the instant success of ‘drivers license’, 18-year-old singer and actor Olivia Rodrigo is back with her second single. Co-written with ‘Drivers License’ collaborator Dan Nigro, ‘deja vu’ comes with an accompanying video directed by Allie Avital and co-starring Talia Ryder. Check it out below.
“The concept of deja vu has always fascinated me and I thought it would be cool to use it in a song around the complex feelings after a relationship ends,” Olivia said in a statment. “I started writing and recording ‘deja vu’ last fall and had so much fun creating the different melodies and sonic textures that you hear throughout.”
Along with the new single, Rodrigo has also announced that her as-yet-untitled debut album will be released on May 21. Upon its release in January, ‘drivers license’ debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and broke multiple streaming records, including the most single-day streams for a non-holiday song on Spotify.
