My Chemical Romance Postpone Reunion Tour to 2022

After rescheduling their much-anticipated 2020 reunion tour to 2021, My Chemical Romance have once again pushed back their North American tour dates, this time to 2022. The tour is now set to kick off at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 29, 2022 – you can find the updated dates on the band’s website.

“We are deeply sad, but those emotions are only a fraction of the depth of feeling we have all experienced watching the suffering and loss of the past year,” My Chemical Romance wrote in a statement. “We just want to be as sure as we can be that everyone is safe. Refunds will be offered to anyone who wants them. We are sorry if this is disappointing, and we REALLY can’t wait to see you in 2022.”

Regarding festival appearances, they added, “For festivals or events where the new 2022 date has yet to be announced, event organizers will be in touch directly. If you have any questions, please reach out to your point of purchase.”

My Chemical Romance were set to perform at several festivals in 2021, including Riot Fest in Chicago. Though Riot Fest announced its 2021 edition is still on, MCR have been moved to the 2022 edition that will take place on September 16-18. Music Midtown has also confirmed that the band will headline the Atlanta festival’s 2022 edition.
