London-based singer-songwriter Alex Jayne has shared a new single called ‘Hollywood’. It’s taken from her forthcoming debut EP, a collection of songs that “meditates on future and fantasy,” according to a press release. Listen to ‘Hollywood’ below.
“It’s a song about the fantasies we hold onto and get hurt by,” Jayne said of the new track in a statement. “Hollywood represents this utopia two lovers are searching for but can’t find in each other. I guess it’s a letter to myself, knowing it’s okay and I’ll search again for that perfect place.”
‘Hollywood’ marks Alex Jayne’s first single of the year, following 2020’s ’90s Dream’, ‘Backseat’, ‘Clouds’, and ‘Pictures’.
