Mogwai Release Video for New Single ‘God Gets You Back’

Mogwai are back with a new song called ‘God Gets You Back’. It follows the announcement and premiere of Mogwai: If The Stars Had A Sound, a documentary about the band from director and longtime collaborator Antony Crook, and coincides with the announcement of a 2024 world tour. The song’s accompanying video was directed by Hand Held Cine Club (Justin and James Lockey). Check it out and find the list of dates below.

Commenting on the process behind ‘God Gets You Back’, the band’s Barry Burns explained that he decided the song “needed some melody or vocals, but I couldn’t come up with the lyrics so I asked my 7 year old daughter to make some up, and she did and I sang them.”

About the tour, Stuart Braithwaite said: “We are immensely excited about heading out on our first worldwide tour since the pandemic. We’re going to some brilliant places and can’t wait to perform our new songs.”

Mogwai’s last album is 2021’s As the Love Continues.
