A new action thriller is climbing the Netflix charts. Brazilian series Wrath has already spent two weeks in the platform’s top 10 for non-English series, where it currently occupies the second position.
With 3.5 million views this week, Wrath is also the #1 show in six countries. Does this mean a fresh batch of episodes could be on the way? Here’s what we know so far.
Wrath Season 2 Release Date
At the time of writing, there’s no official news about a potential Wrath season 2.
While viewers get answers about the main character’s past by the time the first season wraps up, we’re sure the writers can come up with a new angle for a follow-up. The title isn’t listed as a limited series on Netflix, and viewership numbers are good, so you never know.
If the platform gives the green light, new episodes could arrive in 2027.

What Is Wrath About?
The action thriller centres on Marcelo, a man who is found badly wounded and with no memory of who he is. He is rescued by Toni, an MMA coach who gives him a place to stay and a chance to start over. Before long, Marcelo discovers a new sense of purpose in the fight world.
As he begins to build a new life, fragments of Marcelo’s past start coming back. His unusual instincts hint at a dark history, so the amnesiac has to piece together the circumstances that brought him to his current predicament.
Who was he? Why did someone want him dead? More importantly, does the new him have much in common with his past self?
While the mystery aspect is intriguing, Wrath also wins bonus points for absorbing fight scenes. If you like your entertainment of the bloody variety, you’re in the right place.
By the time the first season ends, viewers learn the truth about Marcelo’s past, and there’s a sense of closure. That said, Wrath season 2 could continue to follow the protagonist moving forward and dig deeper into the darker side of fighting. Or, it could focus on one of the other fighters, expanding the MMA world.
