There’s someone out there for everyone. At least, that’s what the latest Korean romance doing numbers on Netflix seems to suggest. When a woman who electrically shocks the people she touches and a man with an artificial heart meet, sparks fly.
With 3 million views last week, Take Charge of My Heart is currently among the most-watched non-English titles on Netflix. It’s also a Top 10 show in 44 countries. Does that mean a follow-up is on the way? Here’s what we know so far.

At the time of writing, there’s no official news available on a potential Take Charge of My Heart season 2.
The fantasy romance is listed as a limited series on Netflix, and Korean productions rarely get sequels. In other words, it looks like the episodes currently available are all there is.

What Is Take Charge of My Heart About?
Take Charge of My Heart centres on Na Bo-bae, an aspiring screenwriter. She’s literally not like other girls because she has a mysterious electrical ability. Whenever she touches someone, she gives them a painful shock. As a result, Bo-bae has never experienced a normal romantic relationship, making it difficult for her to write a convincing love story.
Her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Baek Ho-rang. Turns out, his artificial heart is running out of power, and Bo-bae’s electricity can recharge it. The two strike an unusual deal. She will help keep him alive while he helps her experience the romantic milestones she needs for her writing.
As you probably figured out, their practical arrangement gradually develops into a genuine romance. However, a succession battle and further complications threaten the relationship. Thankfully, by the time the finale wraps up, you’re not left with any questions about the couple’s future.
That sense of closure is another sign that Take Charge of My Heart season 2 is unlikely. Still, if you’re in the mood for an electric romance, the 10 episodes streaming don’t disappoint.
