What Is Crew Girl About?
Crew Girl centres on Teagan, a rower whose family becomes embroiled in a financial scandal. She’s forced to leave Los Angeles behind and relocate to the East Coast, where she attends the prestigious Easton Prep.
Hoping for a fresh start, Teagan discovers that the school doesn’t have a girls’ rowing team, so she becomes the coxswain of the struggling boys’ varsity crew. Gradually, she earns their respect and learns how to lead.
However, she finds herself romantically caught between two teammates. Josh is Easton’s privileged team captain, while Cam is an overlooked local boy with something to prove. Expect romance, drama, family secrets, and coming-of-age shenanigans.
By the time the first season wraps up, the messy love triangle is in full swing, and the possibility of a girls’ rowing team hints there’s more story coming. Crew Girl season 2 would likely continue to follow Teagan and her growing pains.
“As for Teagan, she hasn’t experienced enough yet of her life. She’s just settled in after being upended. She’s not in her form,” showrunner Vivian Lin told Swoon.
