Prime Video is leaning hard into the young adult genre this year. Not only that, but the platform’s tactic is successful. Their latest series, Sterling Point, is enjoying a serious amount of hype right now.
The show was met with positive reviews from critics and viewers alike, with many praising its 2000s teen drama vibes. On top of that, it became the #1 title on Prime Video shortly after it premiered. Could this mean a second installment is on the way? Here’s what we know so far.
Sterling Point Season 2 Release Date
At the time of writing, Prime Video has yet to officially confirm Sterling Point season 2. Based on the show’s popularity, however, we’re cautiously optimistic. Plus, the powers that be are excited to continue the story.
“Season 1, you do spend a lot of time setting up the world, and then I do almost feel like if you get a season 2, it’s when you relax and go deeper,” creator Megan Park shared in an Entertainment Weekly interview.
Given that the show dropped in early August, we expect a renewal announcement sooner rather than later. If all goes well, new episodes could arrive in summer or fall 2027.

What Could Happen in Sterling Point Season 2?
Sterling Point follows 17-year-old Annie, a high-achieving New Yorker whose summer falls apart when she is rejected from an elite business program. She also learns that her estranged grandfather has died, leaving her and her twin brother Connor a remote island in Canada’s Muskoka region.
Annie and Connor’s adoptive father has always avoided talking about the island and their late mother, Goldie. Curious about the secrets surrounding the family, Annie heads to Canada to investigate.
Once there, she meets a group of local teenagers, finds romance, and connects with Ramona, a girl who looks remarkably like Goldie. As you might have figured out, Ramona turns out to be far more than a stranger.
The show is an enchanting mix of teen drama, romance, and mystery. By the time the first season wraps up, the kids get some answers about their family, but several cliffhangers hint that the story is far from over.
Sterling Point season 2 will likely pick up from there, as their lives become even more complicated. It can’t come soon enough.
