Listen to Pop Smoke’s New Song ‘AP’

A new song from the late Brooklyn rapper Pop Smoke has been released. ‘AP’ appears in the upcoming directorial debut from celebrity chef Eddie Huang, BOOGIE, which stars Pop Smoke in his first acting role. Listen to ‘AP’ below.

The coming-of-age film finds Pop Smoke playing Monk, the basketball rival of main character Alfred “Boogie” Chin, a Chinese-American high school prodigy portrayed by Taylor Takahashi. Arriving in theaters on March 5, BOOGIE was filmed prior to the rapper’s tragic death in February 2020.

Pop Smoke’s posthumous LP Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon was released last summer. An expanded special edition followed shortly after, featuring 15 previously unreleased tracks.
