Brittany Howard has shared a cover of Jackie Wilson’s 1967 song ‘(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher’. The new rendition was recorded by the Alabama Shakes leader exclusively for Amazon Music and is only available through the streaming service. Check it out below.
Howard has performed ‘(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher’ live several times in the past, including during Jools Holland’s 2020 New Year show. She issued her debut solo album, Jaime, back in 2019, netting her five nominations at this year’s Grammy Awards, including Best Alternative Music Album, Best Rock Performance (‘Stay High’), Best Rock Song (‘Stay High’), Best R&B Performance (‘Goat Head’), and Best American Roots Performance (“’hort and Sweet’). Howard will also be performing at the ceremony on March 14.
