Grammy-winning DJ and music producer Cedric Gervais is back with his single ‘One Night.’
French music producer Cedric Gervais goes back to his roots with a deep bass driven anthem ‘One Night’, which features Wealthy. Gervais talked about his latest single and said “I’ve been dissatisfied with a lot of the new music I’ve been checking out as of late and found myself looking to the past and listening to the music I used to play early in my career. In fact, some of these records have inspired me as a producer in the studio. “One Night” was created with this mindset – a nod to my past while maintaining a vibe that I can drop in my current sets”.
Gervais is currently on his North American Tour. ‘One Night’ is available to be streamed here.
Reno Nogaj an illustrator based in Italy created an engaging series of conceptual illustrations called ‘Cubes’.
This series of illustrations work as a puzzle to a story, with each face of the cube giving us more information. This way, Nogaj, has a high capacity to play with the composition. Morphing space and reality to make each piece a little world of its own. And to top all that with his minimal colour palette and you get a very atmospheric series of psychological illustrations.

“In Shaker Heights, a placid, progressive suburb of Cleveland, everything is meticulously planned – from the layout of the winding roads, to the colours of the houses, to the successful lives its residents will go on to lead. And no one embodies this spirit more than Elena Richardson, whose guiding principal is playing by the rules.
Enter Mia Warren – an enigmatic artist and single mother- who arrives in this idyllic bubble with her teenage daughter Pearl, and rents a house from the Richardsons. Soon Mia and Pearl become more than just tenants: all four Richardson children are drawn to the mother-daughter pair. But Mia carries with her a mysterious past, and a disregard for the rules that threatens to upend this carefully ordered community.
When old family friends attempt to adopt a Chinese-American baby, a custody battle erupts that dramatically divides the town – and puts Mia and Elena on opposing sides. Paul Costelloe presents to us, volume and print for this years autumn/ winter collection.
For his collection, he uses quite neutral colours like shades of browns, greens, greys and a pop of colours like the yellows and pinks. The collection looks like it uses a variety of fabrics like tweed perhaps with the blazers and skirts and perhaps some silks and suedes.
The model is winter ready with her boots, leather gloves and a leather handbag. The colour of the blazer really reminds you of the autumnal season where leaves are turning brown. The blazer is paired with a gathered skirt with layers and layers of fabrics. I quite like the harshness of the material and look with the contrasting softness of the skirt and its movement.
The menswear outfits were quite fitted with some long coats and slim fitting trousers with the same print on both garments paired with scarved and some with gloves and without. The print works really well without overwhelming the whole look, it’s nicely paired with what looks like a silk scarf.
Overall the presentation was amazing with the atmosphere and the garments, it was nice to see a differentiation of colour to what you would think the seasonal colours would be.
EUDON CHOI showcases his collection Porth La for Autumn/Winter 2018.
EUDON CHOI looks to the Cornish harbor town of St Ives, (Porth la in Cornish) taking inspiration from a collection of modernist artists who settled there post World War I. He translates the relationship between artist; Christopher Wood, Ben Nicholson and Alfred Wallis, and how rugged their environment was to create a collection that pays homage to St Ives as a muse to so many artists and a place of artistic pilgrimage. He celebrates the abstract art and Cornish light as well as paying homage to the brave fishermen who worked the harsh sea and the tin and copper miner, who were once such an important part of the Cornish way of life.
This season EUDON CHOI teams up with renowned milliner Noel Stewart to create a modern take on a sou’wester inspired by the commercial fishing trade that is waterproof and luxurious. The pair shares a passion for using traditional techniques, modernity, and craftsmanship, creating the subtly extraordinary.
I love the fabrication on the coats as well as their shapes. Some of the coats were buttoned up or tied up or opened. The fabrication on these was gorgeous as well as the color choice. I was quite drawn to the accessories from the hats to the bags, some were small handbags others were quite big with a strap to the side of the bag instead of the top.
Emilio De La Morena amazes us with his collection which was showcased on the 20th February at Strand.
For his autumn/winter 2018 collection, Emilio De La Morena drew his inspiration from Barbra Streisand’s 1983 Musical, Yentl, and applied its gender queer philosophy to his Iberian aesthetic.
Yentl remains radical for its challenges to patriarchy, whether in its conservative early twentieth century Ashkenazi society setting or here and now. Its spirit of defiance ad its visual codes informs the collection’s austere palette and masculine Tailoring. Fashion may not change the world but Yentl reminds us that aesthetics matter.
The color palette for this show was mainly monochrome with quite a few vibrant colors like Fuschia and Teal. I love the contrast between the tailored look and the ruffles. It creates movement in the garments. There were beading details that moved around as the model walked the runway which showed movement but in contrast to the softness of the ruffles this was harder and moved around more which is a nice contrast.
