When WandaVision first dropped in 2021, it signaled a promising start to Marvel’s new TV era. Thanks to a moving storyline and creative format, it quickly won over critics and fans alike.
A bunch of other series followed, with mixed results. Even so, 2024’s Agatha All Along was another standout.
Now, VisionQuest aims to conclude the trilogy. The Disney+ series brings back a few characters you might have forgotten about and introduces new ones. Does that mean it may go on beyond season 1? Here’s what we know so far.
VisionQuest Season 2 Release Date
At the time of writing, there’s no official news about a potential VisionQuest season 2.
While the show has been advertised as “the third and final installment of the WandaVision universe,” you never know. The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) continues to grow, and the creator isn’t ruling out further installments.
“Trying to figure out how to say this… You could very much see these characters again, if you want,” showrunner Terry Matalas said.
Whether that means seeing them in future projects or a follow-up season, we have no idea.

What Is VisionQuest About?
VisionQuest revolves around a rebuilt version of Vision we met at the end of WandaVision. He is struggling to understand who he is and what it means to be human.
Hiding in Edinburgh, he leads a quiet life while consulting the artificial intelligences embedded in his programming. These include F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., and J.A.R.V.I.S., but also the dangerous Ultron, whom he keeps imprisoned inside his mind.
When a bounty is placed on his head, Vision is forced to flee alongside Thomas Shepherd, a young man who may be the reincarnation of his son Tommy Maximoff. Before long, a new threat emerges from the world of artificial intelligence, and Vision has to figure out whether Ultron can be trusted.
As the critical consensus on Rotten Tomatoes reads, the show “investigates the humanity beneath the robot,” which makes it quite compelling. While VisionQuest season 2 seems like a long shot, only four episodes are out so far. You can catch the remaining four weekly on Disney+ until November 10.
