St. Vincent has shared a new video for ‘The Melting of the Sun’, the second single from her upcoming album Daddy’s Home. The retro visual, co-directed by St. Vincent and Bill Benz, brings to life the song’s lyrical icons, including Nina Simone, Joni Mitchell, and Tori Amos, rendered in Schoolhouse Rock-esque style by Chris McD. Daddy’s Home is set for release on May 14 via Loma Vista. St. Vincent recently performed both ‘The Melting of the Sun’ and lead single ‘Pay Your Pain Away’ on Saturday Night Live.
