Calvacade follows the band’s 2019 debut Schlagenheim. The band had previously previewed half of the 8-track LP, sharing the singles ‘John L’, ‘Despair’, ‘Chondromalacia Patella’, and ‘Slow’. “When you’re listening to the album you can almost imagine all the characters form a sort of cavalcade,” black midi’s Cameron Picton said in a press release. “Each tells their story one by one and as each track ends they overtake you, replaced by the next in line.” Drummer Morgan Simpson added: “Enjoy it, live with it, spend some time living in it.”
