Do you feel as though your casual outfits always end up looking drab and boring? Maybe you feel as though they lack flair and you want to do something about this. Either way, if you are ready to take things to that next level then this guide will show you what changes you need to make.
Dressy and Casual
You need to feel good about what you wear daily. Whether it is dropping the kids off at school or meeting a friend for lunch, what you wear can have a huge impact on your confidence. If you want to help yourself here then one thing you can do is pair contrasting ideas. A blazer with a blue pair of jeans can work very well, as the jeans will tone down how serious the blazer is. If you want to adjust this outfit further, you can pair it with a ladies designer shirt, or you can simply add a nice white t-shirt for a more casual look. This is a great way for you to make sure that you are always on top of your fashion game.
Elevate your Fabric
If your go-to outfit is a nice cozy cardigan and an old t-shirt then it is possible for you to step things up a notch. Trade your cardigan for one that is more structured or cropped. Trade the t-shirt for a sleek-knitted top. If you can do this then you will soon find that you can still take advantage of the same comfort, but with a much more fashionable edge. At the end of the day, it’s a good idea for you to change your sweatpants for some woven joggers too. These look way smarter and it gives you the chance to dress in a way that makes you feel comfortable and without compromise.
Shift your Accessories
Sometimes, you don’t even need to change your clothes if you want to adopt a more fashionable look. It may be that you just need to change your accessories. You can easily run summer errands in a t-shirt dress with some flip-flops but at the same time, you can go to a school function with a t-shirt dress, a nice pendant necklace and a few bracelets. By doing this, you will see a huge improvement in the way you look and feel.
Combine Structure with Ease
It’s not just about how you put things together. It’s about how certain items blur the line between casual and dressy. Tailored trousers that are made out of stretchy, or athletic fabric can go a long way. If you can add a structured dress top or something similar then this will give you a lot to work with. You may even find that you can pair this outfit with some attention-grabbing jewelry if you want, to bring out your outfit and it could work wonders for your confidence, which will help you to walk a little taller. Little things like this can impact how your outfit looks too, so it really does go full circle.

British-born, Chicago-based guitarist and vocalist James Elkington has issued his latest album, Me Neither. It’s composed of a series of 29 brief instrumental pieces, which he describes as “library music.” “I’d improvise and record the first thing that came into my head, quickly record something else on top of that, try to add some random elements, edit it and mix it, then stop before it had the chance to get stale,” Elkington said in press materials. “The only rules I gave myself were that I should make most of the sounds with a guitar, changing the speed or processing of the recordings afterwards to get the effect I was looking for. I think I was hoping it would sound more like how electronic music sounded when it was mostly made from tape-manipulation in the ‘50s and ‘60s.”
