Condé Nast Suing Drake and 21 Savage Over Fake Magazine Cover Used to Promote ‘Her Loss’

Drake and 21 Savage have been sued by Condé Nast over the fake Vogue cover they used to promote their new album Her Loss. The cover was part of a fake promotional campaign for the album, released Friday, which also included an appearance at NPR’s Tiny Desk, Saturday Night Live, and an interview on The Howard Stern Show.

In an Instagram post teasing the faux cover story, Drake personally thanked Editor-and-Chief Anna Wintour: “Me and my brother on newsstands tomorrow!! Thanks @voguemagazine and Anna Wintour for the love and support on this historic moment.”

In a complaint filed in Manhattan federal court, Condé Nast, the publisher of Vogue, said that neither the publisher nor Anna Wintour have had any “involvement in Her Loss or its promotion, and have not endorsed it in any way.” The company’s lawyers added, “Nor did Condé Nast authorize, much less support, the creation and widespread dissemination of a counterfeit issue of Vogue, or a counterfeit version of perhaps one of the most carefully curated covers in all of the publication business.”

They claimed that they had repeatedly since 31 October asked Drake, 21 Savage, and the public relations agency Hiltzik Strategies to take down the posts. “Defendants’ flippant disregard for Condé Nast’s rights have left it with no choice but to commence this action,” they wrote.

Condé Nast is seeking $4 million in damages, or triple the defendants’ profits from their album and “counterfeit” magazine, as well as punitive damages and an end to any trademark infringement.

Maria BC Announces ‘Hyaline Remixes’ EP, Shares Rachika Nayar Rework of ‘ROF’

Maria BC has announced the Hyaline Remixes EP, which features reworkings of songs from their debut album, Hyaline. It’s set to arrive on November 18 via Father/Daughter Records (US) and Fear of Missing Out Records (UK). Today, Maria BC has unveiled Rachika Nayar’s remix of ‘ROF’. Listen to it below.

“Every time I hear the final lines of ‘ROF’, they transport me to two parts of my life: one deals with childhood and shame; the other is a memory of driving up the California coast, mountains on the horizon, when I felt a golden sense of future opening in my life,” Nayar commented in a statement. “It feels as if the song, in invoking both, metabolizes the past into possibility, and it’s that metabolism that I hoped to delve into with this remix—a metabolism that I think this record opens up for all of us.”

The Hyaline Remixes EP also features contributions from No Home, Nina Keith, Lucy Liyou, and Ragana. “It was both intimidating and thrilling to hear these artists’ interpretations of my music, as I’ve admired their respective voices, their distinct palettes and materials, for so long,” Maria BC said. “They’ve transformed the meaning of these tracks and elevated them. I’m so grateful.”

Rachika Nayar’s new album, Heaven Come Crashing, came out in August. Maria BC appears on two of its tracks, and Nayar discussed their collaboration in our Artist Spotlight interview. You can check out our conversation with Maria BC from earlier this year, too.

Avoid Bad Fruit Of Delayed Homework: A Guide To Choose Major Strategies At Homework

Homework is a compulsory practice for all students. It’s not normal to lead a student life without homework. Being an integral part of student life, it plays a significant role in managing study practice.

Without regular homework, the students might not be able to deal with their study pressure at the end of the study season. This is why professors always try to push for homework for the students. In addition, the modern-day study process is difficult and more competitive than before.

In such a situation, you will not be able to cope with the hardness of tough competition without practice and pressure.

However, students always tend to avoid their daily homework. They feel frustrated with their boring life and sometimes with the difficulty of their homework. Students also have personal difficulties associated with their colleges.

  • Troubled home-life.
  • Lack of adult and positive role models.
  • High rate of mobility.
  • Excessive usage of entertainment tools.

The reasons mentioned above are holding students back from doing their homework properly. Study motivation is the key to involving students in their studies.

Moreover, it’s not always the study pressure but the modern lifestyle that lets students stay with unnecessary things and activities.

Strategies To Stay Focused On Your Homework.

There are many obstacles, and doing homework is also running behind the clock. It’s a race of student life to deal with study factors within the given deadline. In addition, it’s a race against your will and mental state.

On the other hand, procreation is a source of tension in student life regarding homework. Let’s find out significant ways to deal with your daily homework.

1. Create A Study Plan

Planning for things is no exception in a busy life. We all are busy in our life somehow, and we can manage all the work and create a balance of life and work.

When you know that you have to do the work, there is no other way but to plan to complete it. It’s your responsibility to create a concise plan and manage your homework within the given time.

Plan and prioritize your tasks accordingly to get them done smoothly.

2. Prepare Your Schedule

After you have managed with a plan, you should not delay in preparing a concise schedule for your daily life. Well, it’s not just about your study but the whole day. If you are not able to manage all your tasks in a day, you will not be able to manage the time for homework.

There are many things involved in our daily life, and if we ignore the timing of other work, we cannot create a balance in lifestyle.

There is a chance that you will get the study materials ready and prepared with adequate time management and scheduling process before you start doing your homework.

3. Do Not Hesitate To Ask For Help

If you think it’s not the time to ask for help, then you will not be able to ask for it ever. So, whenever doubt comes to your mind, never hesitate to ask your professors and instructors or the adults you believe in.

When there is no confusion, there is less chance to admit procrastination. It’s your life to make it large with educational prominence. So, try and find out the glitches in your daily homework and note down all the things to ask the professor the next day.

4. Get Rid Of Distractions

Distraction is also a source of procrastination. When you are under a tight deadline, you would not want to miss the chance to submit your assignments within the given time.

The consequences of delayed homework may cost you in several ways.

  • The penalty for late submission can be imposed on you.
  • You might not cope with future assignments.
  • A year drop.

To avoid the above-mentioned consequences, you should not allow any kind of distraction in your study process. Engage yourself in homework in a separate room without entertainment gadgets.

It’s time to say ‘no’ to family members when you are busy with your homework.

5. Take Adequate Rest

You have homework does not mean you cannot take a rest. Doing homework without resting by no means can help you. In addition, it can promote study fatigue and laziness.

So, never say no to rest, and try to take short breaks if possible. Do not stay tuned with your homework constantly but make a schedule and take short breaks in between to refresh your mind and deal with study problems easily.

6. Treat Yourself With Rewards

Feeling bored is common in dealing with continuous homework. Students sometimes feel frustrated and exhausted with their daily routines. However, it’s your own responsibility to enjoy your homework and spice up your days.

You can try and treat yourself with amazing gifts and short adventures with every completion of small goals created by you. From your end, you can create goals and try to achieve those so that you can complete your homework in time, and also, with the rewards, you can ramp up your boring days.

7. Consider Homework Services

There is no exception to time management, no matter how you are managing it. Time management is not just about hard work but also about smart work.

For instance, if you have two assignments to complete within the same deadline and you do not have much time to complete both assignments with quality, what are you going to do?

Most of the students try to complete both assignments without looking at the quality of the homework. However, it may affect you in both ways.

  • Low marks.
  • Bad feedback from the professor.

To reduce the risk of bad quality homework, you can divide your task with the do my homework online service, and they will ensure you better quality assignments within the deadline.

Use Paper Examples To Understand And Complete Your Tasks.

If you consider homework paper examples, you will be able to understand the process of doing particular assignments. In that way, you can ensure both quality and time management.

Be smart and play smart, whether it’s study or any other work. It’s time to get rid of delayed homework through the above-mentioned strategies.

What Are The Best Features Of Skateboarding Games?

Video games have played a huge role in the surge in popularity of skateboarding over the last couple of decades. They are challenging, fun, immersive and reflect a rich culture that was always going to draw people in once they discovered it. Skateboarding games have served as both a gateway for skating newcomers and a way for those already within the culture to broaden their experience and contact with the culture, perhaps meeting other like-minded people along the way. Read on to find out more about just what makes skateboarding games so great to play.

The real-life professional skaters

It’s impossible to write about skateboarding games without mentioning Tony Hawk. He is a living legend and there are many skateboarding games that bear his name. From Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater to Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland, he’s been one world-renowned skater who has been a driving force behind the success of this video game genre.

Famous skaters bring authenticity to the entire feel of skateboarding games, showcasing their skills and serving as role models for the culture. Other professional skaters that have been featured in various Tony Hawk games include Bob Burnquist, Kareem Campbell and Elissa Steamer – all outstanding skaters and personalities that have helped build the skateboarding culture into the global phenomenon it has become.

The awesome soundtracks for skateboarding games

As well as great gameplay, a key part of the success of titles in the gaming industry involves the incredible soundtracks that are used for them. Skateboard culture is inextricably linked with a certain niche of music culture and video games capitalise on this. Famous skate punk bands like Lagwagon and Millencolin have featured in various skateboarding games, along with more general rock and metal bands like Rage Against The Machine and Anthrax.

But urban culture is diverse, and certain artists from Hip-Hop have also made their fondness for skate culture known, leading to their inclusion in some of the titles as well. The music is a fundamental part of skate culture, and the Tony Hawk Pro Skater games have reflected this, as have titles like Skater XL, Skate 3 and Session.

The iconic skateboard tricks

Anyone who knows skate culture knows that there are certain tricks that are accessible at different skill levels. There are also iconic moves that were invented by famous skaters and which carry their names. Whether it is ollies, flip tricks, grind and grab tricks or Tony Hawk’s legendary 900 spins, there are plenty of famous tricks to shoot for when playing the games.

The mechanics to control skaters and execute tricks are another key part of what makes games become known as some of the best skateboarding games of all time. The Tony Hawk control schemes set a benchmark, games like Skater XL and Session focused more on a thumbstick system where each foot is controlled independently. And Skate It made use of the Nintendo DS touch screen for a new, intuitive control system. The challenges are great but it always feels very rewarding to pull off a great trick, even if it is in a game and not in real life.

The classic skate brands and boards

Another key part of skate culture is its brands, from skate fashion down to the skateboards used. There are many skate brands associated with skate culture, like Tony Hawk’s own Birdhouse, with its iconic and sought-after skateboard decks and apparel. Other highlights include Alien Workshop, Santa Cruz and Antihero. In the games, you would purchase apparel and skateboards, but the very best items have to be earned, and they bring unique attributes to your skater.

Skate fashion is an awesome feature of many Tony Hawk skateboarding games as players can unlock apparel for their skater. From t-shirts and shoes, and even from hats to socks, there is plenty of skate apparel for players to create their own unique game character. In Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, players can unlock skate shoes from brands like Vans and DC Shoes. Decks are even available to unlock from brands like Santa Cruz, Powell Peralta, and Baker.

These are just some of the features of skating games which help create great games for players and help certain skateboarding games rank among the greatest video games of all time. Metacritic ranks Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 amongst gaming royalty, and it’s easy to see why. For a perfect blend of gaming grandeur, challenge, rewards and enjoyment, the best skateboarding games are a fantastic choice. And they immerse players in a culture they may not yet know that they love, whilst delivering an authentic and engaging experience for those who are already part of that culture. It’s a win for everyone!

Ideal Game for the Company

When meeting guests, any responsible and conscientious gamer will not throw the controller into a corner but will invite them to play. After all, playing video games with a company is even more fun and exciting and warms up competitive interest. Even if the guests came to you spontaneously, you can always offer to have a great time, but if you are intentionally expecting friends to play, get ready and find out what video games are best to play with a group of friends. Alone or in a company, you can always play the best games on Game Karma.

Trine 2: Complete Story

If you remember Lost Vikings, the iconic game of the nineties, you will feel like history is going in circles. Three heroes with unique abilities, physical puzzles, incredible adventures, and breathtaking animation. The off-screen voice only decorates Trine and helps those who are too lazy to read the dialogue. The puzzles are quite simple but still so tricky that they make you feel the pleasure of passing through. Running together is more fun, and the Complete Story edition also contains additional chapters for more than three hours. In some places, the fairy tale seems too cloying and casual, but, on the other hand, this is really one of the best games for the company.

LEGO Lord of the Rings

If you find yourself in the company of someone who doesn’t like video games, try to convince them to play LEGO Lord of the Rings with you, the film’s adaptation of the open-world game. A painfully familiar plot and good jokes are provided. This is a kind and family game, any player can leave at any time, without much risk to pass. And even if the whole family goes to bed, there’s a good chance that in the morning, they’ll find you still sitting with the controller, getting the final achievement in some crazy mini-game like Lego pig racing.

Rayman Legends

Rayman Legends is made with love, radiates fun, and gives you so many levels that the perfect passage will drag on for several tens of hours. In addition, the entire previous part of Rayman Origins, available as a free bonus, was redrawn in new bright colors. Simply put, this is one of the best platform games of our time, and it only wins if you play in the company. The game has minor problems: levels are difficult to pass for a while together, and if there are even more players, it’s easy to get confused about who is where on the screen. But at the end of each world, a special musical level is hidden, which is an unforgettable stream of happiness, like Eye of the Tiger, played by a mariachi band.

Jamestown

If your friends are hardcore gamers who are not afraid to play levels multiple times, calculate pixels, and get their hands on additional challenges, then Jamestown is your option. It’s a vertical scroller where the enemies rain bullets and lasers on the screen, and your main task is to maneuver between them. Fans of the genre will appreciate that the game is quite difficult already on Normal, and new players will appreciate the low entry threshold and note the backgrounds made in the style of Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind and Laputa Castle in the Sky.

Jockstrap Share New Video for ‘Greatest Hits’

0

Jockstrap have shared the music video for ‘Greatest Hits’, a highlight from their debut album I Love You Jennifer B. The clip, directed by FKA twigs’ CAPRISONGS visual collaborator Aidan Zamiri, depicts a fictional trial between two eccentric pop stars. Watch it below.

“I think Jockstrap are one of the most exciting bands in the world and I’m stoked we were able to make this video together,” Zamitri said in a statement. “We wanted this to have a bit of a reflection on the time we live in now, whilst still having a sense of humour about it. Georgia and Taylor are geniuses, and I was so grateful to explore this mad story with them. We did our best to make it as legally accurate as possible (with a few artistic liberties) and this was possible thanks to Jean Lee, our barrister consultant who also played the judge.”
