What Is The Trap About?
A thriller of the psychological variety, The Trap revolves around grief, obsession, and unreliable memories. Add a dangerous game of cat and mouse into the mix, and there’s a good chance you’ll be hooked from episode one.
The story follows Lisa, a successful author who has been living as a recluse after witnessing the murder of her sister, Anna. She’s still haunted by the identity of the person she deems responsible for her death.
When she sees journalist Robert on television, Lisa believes she remembers him from the night Anna was killed. Unable to convince the authorities, she devises an elaborate plan to expose him.
Lisa sets out to write a novel inspired by the murder, and arranges for Robert to visit her home for an interview, intending to use the encounter to obtain evidence of his guilt. But as she gets ready for the face-to-face, Robert is preparing his own strategy.
While The Trap season 2 is unlikely, the episodes now streaming tell an engrossing tale that blends reality with fiction. You will get answers by the end, but you might also have to draw your own conclusions. Can Lisa’s memory be trusted? Tune in to find out.
